GCPA's 2012 Spring Seminar
Gulf Coast Paralegal Association (“GCPA”) is proud to announce its first local Seminar for all FRP’s and CP’s across the state of Florida. On April 28, 2012, GCPA will present a full day seminar at Edison State College, Fort Myers Campus. The cost for GCPA members and students is $95 ($85 early registration prior to March 1, 2012) per person; and non-members is only $125 ($115 early registration by March 1, 2012) per person.
Our speakers include Matt Cornick, Esquire, from Atlanta, Georgia, who will be presenting our litigation portion of the seminar, including some tips on E-Discovery; a certified Microsoft instructor giving Microsoft Tips and Tools for all Word and Excel users. (Note: All attendees will be asked what Microsoft products they use so it may be geared towards their specific needs.) Also speaking is the nationally known Paralegal Mentor, Vicki Voisin, who will be providing the Ethics portion of the seminar. Ms. Voisin will be covering ethical considerations while dealing with trust accounting. To round out the day, a very informative program will be presented to help determine why your co-worker (or boss) drives you crazy.
Certificates of attendance will be provided to each attendee for CLE accreditation.

Collier County Mock Trial
February 3-4, 2012
The first round starts at 4 pm, the second generally starts around 6 pm, and on Saturday, February 4th, there will be two rounds in the morning and the championship round in the afternoon.
Please start thinking about volunteering your time (and yes we can get CLE credit). After the first of the year I will send around a sign-up sheet. By then I should know more about the Lee County Mock trials as well.
This is a very worthwhile project and if you haven’t volunteered before, you should do it at least once. You will be amazed at the students and how they conduct themselves. I have to remind myself that they are only high school students.
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah!
